No side in the Premier League has won more tackles so far this season than Leeds United, with Jesse Marsch’s men managing 159 successful challenges. They are also the only team to have made over 400 tackles and interceptions combined (FBRef).
But which players lead the way for the Whites? Here is a look at the top five for most tackles won…

5) Robin Koch – 11
The Germany international has had a good run in the side. And he has arguably been the best and most consistent centre-back for Marsch’s men so far. But he is some way adrift of four of his teammates.
4) Rasmus Kristensen – 15
Rasmus Kristensen has not had the easiest start to life at Leeds. However, he appears to be improving game on game. It is so important that Kristensen wins his challenges given that, with Leeds playing so narrow, he is often the one player who stays out wide on the right.
3) Marc Roca – 18

Some may be surprised to see Marc Roca third on this list. His quality on the ball has made a real difference for Marsch’s side. But he is also prepared to stuck in and works so hard alongside the player just in front of him on this list.
2) Tyler Adams – 22
If Roca’s ranking is something of a surprise, Tyler Adams’ position is anything but. In fact, the only shock is that he is not in top spot. Adams has been an absolutely inspired signing for Leeds. He is the player who will already come to mind for many when discussing those who appear to cover every single blade of grass.
1) Pascal Struijk – 27
Only Joao Palhinha has won more tackles in the Premier League this season than Pascal Struijk. He has been outstanding at left-back, making himself the clear first-choice ahead of Junior Firpo.
Hopefully, Struijk does not need to cover at left-back much longer as he looks to be too good a player to not use at centre-back. But while he is there, he is absolutely making the most of his opportunity.
