Tony Dorigo has told LUTV that Leeds United star Marc Roca produced his best display for the club since joining from Bayern Munich last summer – as the Whites came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
Roca, 26, started his fourth Premier League game in a row. Clearly, the talent is there but his season has been up and down. Playing well in one game and struggling in the next. But on Tuesday night, he was absolutely superb.
The Spanish ace was everywhere. Defensively, acting in a double pivot with Weston McKennie, the duo controlled the game. Constantly breaking up play, winning tackles, making blocks and then supplying the attack with passes.
WhoScored say £50k-a-week Roca made two tackles, but four key passes. Completing 42 of his 48 passes, Roca lasted the whole 90 minutes. The third time in a row he has – but only the seventh time in the League all season.
Speaking after the match, Dorigo – who was on co-comms for LUTV – was more than impressed with Roca. He says that the left-footed star produced his best performance all season for Leeds, indeed, his best since joining the club.
“In the midfield, we had things under control. McKennie was superb and I think Marc Roca, probably had his best game for Leeds United. I thought he was wonderful tonight,” Dorigo told LUTV in a post-match summary video.

What a performance from Roca. We completely agree with Dorigo, and even Tweeted as much last night. The left-footer looked up for it and ready to do anything for his side. It was his shot that Keylor Navas parried to make it 1-1.
Jack Harrison on hand to tap home, his third goal in Javi Gracia’s six games in charge. Long may it continue with Roca in the middle of the park given Tyler Adams is out for the rest of the season. Leeds need him to play like this.
