Tony Dorigo suggested that Glen Kamara probably had his best game yet for Leeds United on Saturday as Daniel Farke’s side blew Huddersfield Town away at Elland Road.

Dorigo was speaking on LUTV after the Finland international did brilliantly to win possession back and drive the side up the pitch in the latter stages of the 4-1 victory.

Glen Kamara is quickly establishing himself as a really important part of the Leeds side. The 28-year-old appears to be forming a really impressive partnership with Ethan Ampadu in the middle of the park.

Tony Dorigo lauds Glen Kamara after Leeds win

Daniel Farke has previously spoken of how crucial Kamara already is to Leeds. And he found another level on Saturday as Leeds picked up another three points at home.

He completed 104 passes, according to Whoscored. And after one interception just before the final five minutes, which led to Kamara winning a throw-in in the Huddersfield half, Tony Dorigo suggested that he had not seen the former Rangers man play better for the Whites.

“He’s been good. Probably his best game so far. When he has come in, he’s played well. But today I think he’s been outstanding,” he told LUTV.

Midfield unit finally boasts serious strength in depth

The middle of the park was a real issue for Leeds last season. Tyler Adams was excellent when he was fit. But without him, the Whites were left incredibly exposed.

Neither Marc Roca or Weston McKennie had the best time. And that was a key reason why we barely took any points after the win over Nottingham Forest at the start of April.

The situation could not be more different this time around however. Yes, we are playing at a lower level. But Farke has ensured that Leeds have real depth in the middle of the park.

Along with Ampadu and Kamara, Leeds also have Archie Gray and Ilia Gruev. Gruev has barely featured so far this season.

Leeds have quality in a number of areas. And it appears that there is a squad there capable of launching a real promotion challenge at the first time of asking.
