Striker Ben Andreucci has taken to Twitter after completing a move to Bolton Wanderers following his exit from Leeds United this summer, despite his impressive form for the club’s Under-18 side – posting a five-word message.
Andreucci, 18, left Leeds this summer with his previous contract due to expire at the end of the month. Leeds gave him the freedom of picking his next club without requiring his next side to pay compensation. He has chosen Bolton.
It is, despite Andreucci seen as a highly-rated forward among the Leeds ranks. Clocking up 39 outings for the U18 side, the three-time Scotland U19 star has found the back of the net 19 times. In 22-23, he scored nine in 15 games.
Not only that, but Andreucci was even promoted to the Under-21 side – the team that gained promotion from PL2’s second tier to the top division. He came on as a sub in the 5-2 loss to Norwich’s second string back in January.
Now, Andreucci has left Leeds – which he confirmed he was doing on his Instagram, towards the end of last month. It ended a five-year spell at Elland Road. On Twitter, the striker posted a five-word message after moving to Bolton.

It is perhaps a bit of a surprise that the striker has been allowed to leave Leeds given his eye-catching form for the U18 side, at Leeds. But, the striker may have himself decided to go in search of a better pathway to senior football.
Bolton certainly gives him that. He will immediately join the reserve side with the Lancashire club, with a view to breaking into the first team. You would expect, given the amount of games in the EFL, that he might get his chance.
