Rumours have emerged on social media this week that Leeds United star Stuart Dallas may decide to retire from football given his struggle to return from a leg break – but he has responded with two words.
Dallas, 32, has failed to play for a whopping 17 months now, since suffering the double leg break against Manchester City back in April 2022. He has also entered the final 12 months of his contract at Leeds.
The versatile ace, who has 267 Leeds games under his belt, is obviously one of our best players when fit. But it has been such a long time since that, that it is unclear if he will ever return to his best form.

Given the amount of time he has been on the sidelines, and that he is nearing the end of his contract – rumours have started to circle on social media that Dallas might call it quits, and call time on his career.
He will turn 33 in April next year – about to enter the latter stages of his career. But, Dallas responded to the rumours on Twitter about a possible early retirement – and he gave a short answer: “Fake news”.
Leeds star Stuart Dallas responds to retirement rumours
Thank goodness. Dallas is still going to be a real player when he does eventually return from injury, whichever division Leeds are in. There is no doubting that he will have kept fit while on the sidelines.
If Leeds can get him back before Christmas then that is a massive boost. Not only for Dallas but also for Leeds, as we look to strike an instant return to the Premier League. Dallas will be key in getting us there.
