Mundo Deportivo claimed on Friday that Huesca’s Javi Galan has already ‘packed his suitcases’, ahead of a move to Leeds. The defender has starred in what is his first proper season in the top tier of Spanish football. Leeds want him, and are closing in on a move for Galan.
Galan, 26, joined Huesca in January 2019 and has since spent the last two and a half years with the La Liga outfit. In what was his first full season in the top tier, Galan has seriously impressed. Playing 37 of the 38-game campaign, Huesca bravely failed to avoid the drop to the Segunda division.

What does the report say about Leeds potentially signing Galan?
The report says that because of relegation, his release clause has been reduced to £3.5million – and Leeds now want him. MD state that Leeds are closing in on a move for the left-back. Sevilla want him, but his future has taken a ‘radical turn’ towards Leeds. His contract expires in 2022.
Along with relegation, his contract situation means Huesca are likely to sell this summer – in order to bring in some cash for his services. Leeds are now ready to activate his bargain release clause, and the player is said to have ‘packed his suitcases’ ahead of a move to Elland Road this summer.
Galan could now be the man to come in and solve the lack of a left-back. Nigel Martyn recently told us he believes Gjanni Alioski will leave, and that opens up a vacancy on the left side of the defence. Galan looks as though he will fill that.
