Southampton are preparing an offer for Leeds United target Joel Piroe today.
That is according to TeamTalk, who report that Russell Martin is keen to link up with his former Swansea City striker at the Saints and are therefore set to submit a bid today.
As per the same article, Leeds have made an offer of between £8-£10 million for the 24-year-old as they step up their search for a number nine.

Despite having made the first move, a deal will not come easy for Leeds, though, with Southampton seemingly ready to elbow the Whites aside.
Like Leeds, Southampton are also likely to be in the market for a new striker, particularly if they lose to Che Adams, who has been linked with Everton.
Southampton prepare offer for Leeds target Piroe today
According to Wales Online journalist Tom Coleman, Leeds are in a good position to land Piroe after making the first move earlier this week.
He did, however, warn there could be some twists and turns in the saga to come and it appears as though one is arriving from Southampton.

Whoever is able to land Piroe would showing a major statement of intent based on his goalscoring record in the Championship.
Piroe has netted 41 goals across each of the last two seasons following his move from PSV to the Swans.
Leeds will have to ensure they move quickly if they want to get a deal done, particularly if Southampton are sniffing around, as they will have money to spend due to the amount they have made on player sales so far this summer.
