It was reported by The Sun on Sunday (04/11; page 59) at the weekend that Leeds-born Jackson Conway has recently trained with Tottenham as interest in him grows.

Conway is catching the eye in Atlanta United’s ranks in America’s second tier. But it appears that he could be offered the chance to return to England.

The 16-year-old has trained with Spurs. But perhaps Leeds should consider a move for the striker before another English side snaps him up.

Conway is playing senior football in United Soccer League, while his last year in the academy saw the forward score 26 goals in 22 appearances. It is a remarkable return whatever level you are playing at.

Leeds should take a look at the teenager in the hope that he could emulate Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby. The pair have come in from other clubs and forced their way onto the first-team radar. Edmondson now, of course, boasts a handful of appearances for the senior side.

It would potentially be a gamble. But given the links with Spurs and some of the form that he has shown in the youth ranks, it could prove to be another inspired move from the Whites as they continue to improve the academy ranks.
