Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen has been criticised for his weakness in possession following Roma’s 1-1 draw at Torino on Sunday.
Kristensen was handed a 6/10 rating for his performance by Forza Roma, which certainly is not the worst score he has received since his loan move from Leeds in the summer.
It is said that Kristensen was able to cope with Torino livewire Nemanja Radonjic from a defensive point of view, but as soon as he had the ball at his feet, really struggled.
Kristensen was one of eight members of last season’s first team squad to depart Elland Road on loan following Leeds‘ relegation from the Premier League.
Based on reports from the Italian media, Kristensen has really struggled so far in the Italian capital, with only really Robin Koch and Marc Roca having started well at their new clubs.

Writing in their post-match player ratings piece, Forza Roma stated Kristensen ‘seems to have problems’ when the ball is ‘at his feet’.
They wrote: “Kristensen – 6. He has to put out Radonjic’s energy, and he does it with Viking-like ways. When it comes to picking up the ball at his feet, however, he suddenly cools down and seems to have problems interpreting distances. In the second half he gets a good ball to push in, then here’s the one he slots in for Lukaku.”
It is not a surprise to hear that Kristensen is really struggling on the ball as it was always a glaring weakness during his single season at Leeds.
Whether it be due to his touch or body position when receiving the ball, Kristensen always seemed under pressure when on the ball, causing him to lose possession frequently.
Leeds can only hope that Kristensen improves his form at Roma as the season goes on so there is a slight chance of them looking to sign him on a permanent basis.
