Sam Greenwood has shared his verdict on Crysencio Summerville’s performance for Leeds United at the weekend.
Summerville shared an Instagram highlights reel of his display for the Whites in their 3-2 comeback victory at Norwich City, with out-on-loan man Greenwood responding.
The Dutchman was the star of the show at Carrow Road, as Leeds came from 2-0 down to earn an impressive three points on the road.
With Leeds having pulled one back thanks to an own goal, Summerville then took matter into his own hands, first curling in a brilliant strike in off the post.
Summerville – who has been labelled as ‘outstanding’ this season by Leigh Bromby – then completed Leeds’ comeback by latching onto Georginio Rutter’s pass, carrying the ball 40 yards, before then steering a nice finish into the bottom corner.
Greenwood responds to Summerville heroics
Greenwood spent several seasons in Leeds’ U21s and then first team playing alongside Summerville, with both having joined in the same summer after promotion to the Premier League in 2020.
With that in mind, Greenwood knows as well as anyone what Summerville is capable of, and following his latest Instagram post, the Middlesbrough man has shared his verdict.
That is now three in three for Summerville with his goals having earned Leeds seven points already this season, with the other of his four strikers coming in the opening day draw with Cardiff City.
If he continues at his current scoring rate, there is no reason why he could not comfortably hit double figures, which would be an exceptional tally for a winger.
Consistent end product is all that has been missing from Summerville’s game over the last few months, but on the evidence of Saturday, he may just be finding it.
