Sam Byram has told LUTV that Georginio Rutter is a “bag of tricks” and is hopeful his form can continue in a Leeds United shirt after a stunning display for the Whites in Saturday’s 3-0 home win over Watford.
Byram himself, notched as Leeds cruised to a third League win of the season – after previous successes over Ipswich and Millwall. The win sees Leeds climb to a respectable sixth in the Championship table.
But it was Rutter that stole the show. The French star was exceptional. While it was Joel Piroe, Byram and Jaidon Anthony that scored – it was Rutter that caused the stir. His assist for Anthony – incredible.
Byram was asked about Rutter after the win on Saturday. He explained that while Rutter is incredibly skillful, he made it clear that there is a time and place for showboating – like, the 3-0 win on Saturday.

“He’s a bag of tricks isn’t he? When it’s paying off like here, taking players on and creating chances he’s a really good player and shown what he can do and hopefully that continues,” Byram said to LUTV.
“It’s been a very good week, two wins and a tough draw away from home. It feels like we are building momentum and hopefully keep going that way,” the new signing continued, on the season as a while.
Byram: Rutter is a bag of tricks and hopeful Leeds form continues
After a busy week, Leeds now have a few days off to shake off the knocks and bruises – ahead of this weekend’s outing at Southampton on Saturday, down south. A lunchtime kick-off against the Saints.
A tricky game given Southampton have only just been relegated – but, a good time to play Russell Martin’s newly-inherited side. They have lost four in a row, including a 5-0 drubbing by Sunderland.
