Rodrigo has posted a rally cry on his Instagram story following the 6-1 loss to Liverpool, with the Leeds United star calling for unity from supporters by posting “Marching On Together until the end”. Fans are obviously unhappy.
Rodrigo, 32, started his first Premier League match since the 0-0 draw with Brentford back in January. It comes after undergoing the knife to correct the injury he picked up against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup third round.
The Spain star lasted 66 minutes before being replaced by Georginio Rutter. Leeds, meanwhile, suffered a 6-1 loss – off the back of a 5-1 loss to Palace. It leaves the Whites worryingly looking over their shoulder in 16th position.
With Leeds two points above the drop, there is little breathing space. A tricky trip to Fulham awaits. Rodrigo took to Instagram on Wednesday, the first time any of the Leeds squad has done, since Monday night’s defeat to Liverpool.

Leeds have a tough run in. Fulham away will be a difficult game this weekend. A point at Craven Cottage would be a solid result. But then, Leeds take on the likes of Leicester at home and Bournemouth away – winnable matches.
Certainly, Leeds really need to pick up points over the next two games. Four at the very least, with Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham three of the final four outings of the season. It is crunch time, and results are pivotal.
Javi Gracia will be tasked with picking up the squad after an awful couple of results – and that is easier said than done. Liverpool was always going to be a tricky match, but 6-1 heightens issues. Unity, as Rodrigo calls for, is key.
