Robin Koch has broken his silence on Instagram after Leeds United suffered a woeful 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon – saying things are just “not good enough” but still hopeful with eight finals to go.
Leeds started Sunday’s encounter superbly. Patrick Bamford opened the scoring after Brenden Aaronson saw a flick saved, and Luis Sinisterra dragged a glorious chance in the first two minutes. Leeds looked good to go on and win.
But an equaliser just before half-time from a set-piece, and then two goals in a matter of moments early after the break succumbed Leeds to defeat. The Whites then had to push to stand any chance, opening the door for Palace.
A dismal result that not many saw coming. Leeds had beaten Nottingham Forest in the week, Javi Gracia securing a third win in six games. But Palace came into the game with a new manager bounce under veteran Roy Hodgson.
The result leaves Leeds in 16th place just two points above the drop – with Liverpool next up on Monday. Koch took to Instagram after the result, breaking silence from the Leeds players on social media – stating it was not enough.

Having beaten Forest, Leeds were hopeful of a win against Palace. Even avoiding defeat would have been a positive – most of us would have taken four points from the two home games last week. Now, things look a whole lot worse.
The issue is our run in. Leeds face Liverpool at home in a week. Then, a trip to Fulham. Man City, Newcastle and Tottenham are also fixtures in our last eight – but so are Leicester, Bournemouth and West Ham. Just, in our hands.
