The Mail claim in today’s paper edition (March 3, p74) that Leeds United are one of five clubs considering a move to hire Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper at the end of the season – along with Tottenham, West Ham and more.
Leeds have brought in Javi Gracia as manager but his contract is only due to last until the end of the season. There is no doubt that Leeds will look for a new manager if the club are relegated. But if we stay up, Gracia could be kept.
But of course, it might be that Leeds do not keep Gracia in the summer even if he does keep Leeds up. We are are one of five clubs that could be on the lookout for a new manager. Spurs, West Ham, Chelsea and Southampton, too.
Brighton potentially too, if they cannot keep Roberto De Zerbi at the club. The report from the Mail’s Sami Mobkel states that Cooper is under consideration as he continues to impress in his role as manager at the City Ground.
Cooper, 43, has guided his Forest side to promotion back to the Premier League – despite taking over the club in the lower depths of the Championship. Currently, Cooper’s side sit in 13th – with 25 points from 24 League matches.

Cooper recently penned a new deal until the summer of 2025, when there was pressure on him. But he has some how got this Forest side together, despite there being a ridiculous amount of new signings at the City Ground.
While it is likely that most of the five Premier League clubs are on the lookout for a new boss – it seems very unlikely that Coopers leaves Forest at the moment. Especially, to Leeds, which right now is a bit of a sideways move.
