Some Leeds United players were not entirely comfortable with the way Javi Gracia would not go into much detail with some of his team selection decisions.
That is according to The Athletic, who have provided a report on Gracia’s departure following the news that the Spaniard has now been replaced at Elland Road by Sam Allardyce.

Javi Gracia is unlikely to be remembered particularly fondly following his spell at Leeds. The 52-year-old always came across as a very decent person. And there were times when it appeared that he was ready to rescue the Whites.
Some Leeds players not happy with Gracia not explaining decisions
However, the wheels have come off in recent weeks. And it now falls to Allardyce to try and save Leeds from relegation.

Gracia can hold his head reasonably high. If Leeds go down, he will not be one of the main reasons. But he is not entirely blameless either.
Certainly, some of his team selection decisions left fans baffled. And it seems that the supporters were not the only ones who grew frustrated.
The Athletic reports that some of the Leeds players did not appreciate Gracia not having direct conversations about some of his team selections.
Initially, it did appear that Gracia did have an idea of how he was going to drag the side out of danger. But as time went by, some of the decisions seemed to become more desperate and erratic.
The way Willy Gnonto continued to be overlooked was the most baffling call of all. But he also gave up on turning to Georginio Rutter. And it was bizarre that he stuck by Illan Meslier.
What happened at Bournemouth on Sunday was so bad that a change simply had to be made.
Once again, Gracia is not the main reason Leeds find themselves in this mess. But there is no doubt that he was not the man to halt the slide.
