The Yorkshire Evening Post report that six Leeds United players have returned to training on Monday for testing including Max Wober and Helder Costa – and all six are likely to feature against Manchester United on Wednesday.
Wober and Costa have been joined by Norway duo Leo Hjelde and Kris Klaesson, after representing their country at the U21 Euro Championship, of course, won by England. Dan James and Rasmus Kristensen have also returned.
Pre-season is now underway and already, Daniel Farke will take to the dugout on Wednesday to face Manchester United in Oslo. The first real sign we get as to how Farke wants to play, even if the squad will be much changed.
At this stage, a number of players will leave the club that currently remain – and new signings are expected. Of those returning, Kristensen and Costa are likely to go. Though, the YEP does say nothing is imminent for Kristensen.
The report says that all six players are likely to be involved on Wednesday. For the likes of Cree Summerville, Willy Gnonto, Illan Meslier and Rodrigo – all who are of interest – will come back next week after international exploits.

Wober has supposedly made it clear to Leeds that he wants to stay put at Elland Road. A massive boost. Hjelde has interest from Serie A side Salernitana, but with Junior Firpo likely to go, it looks as though he will be kept at Leeds.
Klaesson will remain, as will Dan James after a tricky loan at Fulham. £15m signing Costa is of course represented by Jorge Mendes, and after two season-long loans away from Leeds and his deal ending in 2024, he should leave.
