Sam Allardyce has taken training inside Elland Road as Leeds United prepare for their final game of the Premier League season.

That is according to a report from The Telegraph, which suggests that Allardyce moved some of the sessions away from Thorp Arch as Leeds gear up for Sunday’s clash with Tottenham.

Of course, the situation could hardly be bleaker for Leeds right now. A win against Spurs is the absolute minimum for the Whites. And even then, they are relying on bettering the results of Everton and Leicester.

Allardyce is yet to turn the fortunes around on the pitch. But he is trying certain things ahead of the decisive game in the hope of inspiring his players.

Eddie Gray and Gary McAllister were at Thorp Arch earlier this week to speak to the players. And The Telegraph is now reporting that Allardyce has taken some sessions at Elland Road with the thinking that it may better prepare his players for the occasion.

Ultimately, Allardyce has to try something. Sunday’s defeat to West Ham took any remaining wind out of Leeds’ sails. And his tactical tweaks are yet to bear fruit out on the pitch.

It is going to be difficult to motivate the players. They have had so many chances to boost their hopes of survival. Fans will be able to recount so many opportunities for results to be drastically different.

They are now in a situation where a massive win against Spurs may not keep Leeds in the Premier League. So lifting spirits is going to be a huge challenge for Allardyce.

Hopefully, training at Elland Road just gives Leeds a little extra.
