The Mail name six Leeds United players that find their ‘future unclear’ at Elland Road this summer with a view to possibly securing a transfer away after relegation – and striker Patrick Bamford is a surprise inclusion on that list.
Bamford, 29, seemed to put his injury issues largely behind him last season by clocking up 31 outings for Leeds, 28 of which came in the Premier League. But he managed just six goals, only four of which came in the top flight.
Following relegation, the one-time England star is yet to be linked with any other clubs, and a possible summer exit. His lack of form in the Premier League in the last couple of seasons – and injuries – is likely to be the reason for that.

But, towards the end of the season, it might be easy to see why Bamford may want to leave. He deleted his Twitter account due to criticism and after missing a spot kick against Newcastle, he and his family received death threats.
The report lists Bamford alongside five others that are likely to go, and are attracting interest. Tyler Adams, Willy Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra, Rodrigo and Illan Meslier. Bamford has a contract at Leeds until the summer of 2026.
Patrick Bamford future unclear at Leeds in surprise inclusion on list

It is not a surprise to hear that perhaps, Bamford may want a move. But, it is a surprise that Bamford is one of a number of players looking to secure a transfer. Given, his contract and that he is one of the core Leeds members.
The likes of Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Luke Ayling and probably, Adam Forshaw, will remain at Elland Road. The latter is due to return to pre-season training with talks ongoing. There has been no reported interest in Bamford.
So it does come as a bit of a shock for the Mail to list Bamford as having an unclear future at Leeds, given his lack of form and availability making it more than likely he remains. But perhaps, the interest is simply yet to be revealed.
