TMW claims Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag would ‘gladly’ take Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams to Old Trafford this summer after the Whites were relegated to the Championship – with Adams likely to a departure.

Adams, 24, is one of a small handful of Leeds players who can come out of this season and say they have played well. Indeed, Adams has actually enjoyed a decent 2022-23 campaign, being named captain of the United States.

Indeed, he has proven in the Premier League that he is more than capable of impressing in England’s top division. But after 26 games, Adams was sidelined for the last third of our campaign, having to undergo hamstring surgery.

Adams is said to be close to a return from his injury, but he could do nothing but watch his Leeds teammates fail to avoid relegation. A return to the Championship is likely to see a number of players leave Leeds – Adams included.

The report from TMW claims Manchester United could look to lure Adams from Leeds to Old Trafford. A move that would anger Leeds fans given the rivalry between the two clubs. Ten Hag is said to be very open to signing Adams.

Adams is more than likely to leave Leeds. The club are expected to sell the likes of Rodrigo, Jack Harrison, Willy Gnonto and Illan Meslier. Adams is another on that list, where Leeds will have to cash in – and he has interest in him.

A move to Manchester United? Looking past the criticism that would be directed at Adams, who is well-liked by us Leeds fans – it would see him warm the bench behind Casemiro. He needs to join a side where he plays regularly.
