Spaniard Paco Gallardo is reportedly set to join the Leeds United coaching staff, with Mucho Deporte reporting that the 42-year-old has accepted an offer from Victor Orta.
Some supporters have probably been expecting a change in the dug-out in recent times. Of course, Jesse Marsch’s position has come under real scrutiny after an extremely poor run in the Premier League.

There has indeed been a change behind the scenes, it seems. However, it would appear that Marsch is set to receive more help in his role.
Paco Gallardo set to join Leeds
According to Mucho Deporte, Gallardo is set to arrive at Elland Road. The report claims that he is set to work across the first-team, under-21s and academy, primarily focused on helping the young players prepare for the demands of senior football.

Gallardo has been out of work since leaving Sevilla last year. He had previously been working with their B side, where he managed the team over 50 times in all competitions.
He also spent most of his playing career on the books of the Andalusian club. And it was during the latter stages of his time with the side that Orta was appointed to the recruitment staff.
Obviously, it may not be an appointment supporters really notice the impact of. But it could be a sensible move.
Leeds have put their faith in a number of young players since Orta came in. And they have hardly slowed down since returning to the Premier League – though their hand has been forced due to injury at times.
Leeds have spent money since promotion. But Orta’s approach to the market has highlighted that the Whites are going to have take chances on bright young players which they can develop to try and compete higher up the table.
It is not easy to take that next step. Leeds were relegated from the top tier of under-21 football last season. So the gap between that level and the first-team has grown even larger.
Orta is seemingly hoping that Gallardo will help make that jump a lot easier for players.
