German outlet Sport1 claim that Newcastle United and a number of other Premier League clubs are interested in Robin Koch with Leeds United living dangerously above the relegation zone – while Bundesliga sides have made enquiries.
Koch is enjoying his best season at Leeds since his move from Freiburg in the summer of 2020. Already, he has clocked up more Premier League outings this season than in his previous two. He has only missed one league game this term.
The 1-0 loss to Forest. Now, while there have been concrete concerns about Jack Harrison leaving given his contract is due to end in 2024 – nothing has been made regarding Koch. That is, despite his deal also ending at the same time.
Koch has been in his best form in a Leeds shirt this season. One of our most-consistent performers. That has finally seen other clubs become interested. Newcastle and other Premier League clubs are said to be keen on the German.

The report also claims that Koch is desperate to get himself back in Germany’s squad for Euro 2024. Relegation to the Championship will stop any chance of that happening. Bundesliga clubs are also keen on signing the central defender.

Newcastle and other Premier League clubs interested in Leeds man Koch
Koch has been superb for Leeds this season. Only a handful of players have been pretty consistent throughout. Tyler Adams, Rodrigo, Illan Meslier and “outstanding” defender Koch. The rest have been in and out of the XI, up and down.
If Leeds are going to survive then the Germany man is going to be essential. But it is clear. If Leeds go down, Koch will leave. It is one of the first examples that if Leeds do not survive, then there are going to be a number of players to go.
