The Mirror claims Leeds United striker Rodrigo will have interest from Premier League clubs, as well as some abroad this summer – and it is ‘suits both parties’ involved if the Spaniard exits. He is the club’s top earner as things stand.
Rodrigo, 32, has been sensational for Leeds this season, in a dismal campaign on the whole as a club. The Spaniard has scored 15 goals in his 35 games. It is easily his best season of the three he has spent at Leeds, since joining.
But with the club suffering relegation, Rodrigo’s future is now up in the air. He has entered the final 12 months of the four-year deal when Leeds paid £27million to raid Valencia for his services back in 2020. The striker looks set to go.
The report from The Mirror claims that Rodrigo will have interest in his services from English clubs this summer, as well as some overseas. A return to Spain and La Liga is more than likely. An exit is said to suit Leeds and Rodrigo.

Where is Rodrigo’s most-likely destination? Well, this season – the first in which he has been able to show some real momentum for the Whites – will show Premier League clubs that he can score goals in a side struggling for form.
But a return to Spain is surely more likely for Rodrigo this summer. A move to a mid-table side, perhaps pushing for Europe – or, already in Europe, makes sense. The likes of Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Sevilla, that group of clubs.
One thing is clear, though. Leeds will not be able to afford his huge wages in the Championship, even with the wage cut of the drop. It will be tough to see him play for an English club but as long as we get a good fee, he must go.
