Leeds United are keen on signing Coventry star Viktor Gyokeres and a Swansea City podcaster has posted a picture on Twitter of scouts attending Preston’s clash on Tuesday with Coventry – and a scout from Leeds was in attendance.
Gyokeres, 24, has been on fire this season. Clocking up 36 games, he has scored 16 goals for a side that currently sit in the bottom half of the Championship table. But he is a player that already boasts senior Sweden caps, scoring twice.
TeamTalk report that Leeds want to sign Gyokeres regardless of what division Leeds find themselves in next season – but he has been rated at £25million. So, Leeds want to sign the Swede and it might even be they are scouting him.
Swansea podcaster Jordan Webber took to Twitter to reveal the list of scouts at Tuesday night’s Championship game between Coventry and Preston. Included, is Leeds scout Alex Davies. So, it might be that Leeds are keeping tabs.

What a signing Gykoeres would be. While Patrick Bamford is back, he is hardly scoring the goals required for Leeds. He remains a good player to come off the bench and influence the match but Leeds need better – if we even stay up.
Georgie Rutter has come in and while a good attacker, he does not seem an out and out no.9. So, Leeds need a striker that is going to dominate the opposing central defenders. Gyokeres can do that, and he has shown so during 2022-23.
But it all depends on whether Leeds can stay up. There is no chance the Whites will be splashing £25million to sign the Swedish ace this summer if we are in the Championship. Let’s be honest, Gyokeres will want a top-tier club, anyway.
