Italian newspaper TuttoSport claim Leeds United star Weston McKennie has a ‘plethora of admirers’ in his services from around Europe – if the American does not join the Yorkshire club permanently at the end of the season.
McKennie, 24, has been a regular for Leeds since completing a loan-to-buy move. There have been a wide-ranging number of reports over if that permanent clause will be struck. Some say survival will see him sign permanently.
But there have also been reports claiming that even if Leeds do stay up, McKennie will not sign on. Relegation will obviously see McKennie return to Juventus and look for pastures new. Now, TuttoSport have reported an update.
In a piece that covers all of their out-on-loan players, they state that McKennie has plenty of interested clubs on his trail from all over Europe. TuttoSport describe it as a ‘plethora’ of ‘good admirers’. He will not be short of suitors.

As things stand, the fan base does seem to be split on the signing of McKennie. Of course, it will only happen if the club to stay in the Premier League. Even then, is he worth the £30m+ figure required to make him a Leeds player?
At LeedsUnited.News, we think so. A player of vast experience both at club level, in numerous countries, and with over 40 caps for his country. A player Tyler Adams knows well. With a full pre-season at Leeds, he could shine.
He is also a threat in the final third, too. McKennie showed during the international break, with his brace against Grenada that he is an asset from set-pieces. Clint Dempsey said he is ‘dangerous’ from dead-ball situations.
Leeds would do very well to sign a better midfielder for a similar price, at McKennie’s age. Yes, some of his displays have been slightly below par – but some have been excellent. Against Forest, he was superb. A good signing.
