Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear is set to stay at the club even if San Francisco 49ers Enterprises complete a full takeover.
That is according to Sky Sports, who report Kinnear will remain at Elland Road until at least the end of the 2023/24 campaign to oversee the transition period at the club.
They also claim the appointments of a new manager and sporting director are currently hot on his agenda, with Kinnear working alongside the 49ers to ensure the latter is found quickly.

Genk’s Dimitri de Conde and Middlesbrough’s Kieran Scott have been mentioned as targets, with both boasting decent track records at their respective clubs.
Even without a sporting director in place, Kinnear has also already been speaking to potential candidates for the vacant managerial role.
Kinnear set to stay at Leeds
49ers remain locked in talks with Andrea Radrizzani to complete a full buyout of the club, but even while that goes on, there is still plenty of work to do.
Leeds cannot afford to sit and wait around until that is finally rubber stamped, and so it is good news that plans are already being put in place to build a team ready for the Championship.

While some supporters may want to see the back of Kinnear to completely turn the page on the Radrizzani era, a little bit of continuity may not be a bad thing.
Kinnear’s programme notes pre-match have riled the Leeds fan base at times over the last two seasons, but if he can work quietly and efficiently in the background, it would go a long way to rebuilding his reputation.
The swift appointment of a new sporting director is vital and the two names most prominently linked have strong track records and if he can get either over the line, it would be a job well done by Kinnear.
