Turkish outlet Fotomac claim Leeds United are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele ahead of the summer window – with the Frenchman available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Dembele, 26, has struggled at Lyon since the French side re-signed Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal. The Lyon icon has scored 28 goals in 35 games this term, relegating Dembele to the bench. Unused by Lyon in the last four.
Indeed, the ex-Celtic and Fulham man has scored just three goals in 27 games – starting only nine times. His deal ends in the summer and Leeds are supposedly one of a number of clubs looking to nab the Frenchman’s services.
The report claims Galatasaray want to take him to Turkey – which will be the fourth country in which he has played his football. Inter Milan are keen, while Premier League sides Villa, West Ham and Leeds are all keen on Dembele.

Dembele can certainly score goals, of that there is no doubt. The three-time Scottish Premiership winner scored 51 goals in 94 games at Celtic – and 70 in 171 at Lyon. Last season for Lyon, Dembele netted 22 times in 36 games.
But Leeds signing the £52k-a-week man will obviously depend on survival and as things stand, it looks incredibly unlikely that the Whites pull themselves out of it. Especially, after Everton and Forest secured wins on the weekend.
Dembele will have plenty of clubs looking to sign him in the summer. Whether one of those will be Leeds remains to be seen, but if we do manage to stay up, Dembele could be signed to bolster our lacking fire power in the final third.
