Leeds United are hoping that James Milner may delay a decision on his future until the summer as they are interested in signing the Liverpool star.
That is according to a report from 90min, which suggests that Brighton believe that they are closing in on signing the 37-year-old ahead of next season.

It does appear that James Milner may be on the way out of Liverpool in the near future. As things stand, his contract at Anfield expires at the end of the campaign. And an extension is not seen as a priority.
Leeds eyeing James Milner return
It did appear that he may be headed for the south coast. However, 90min reports that Leeds are one of the teams hoping that they could yet force a late twist in the tale.

According to 90min, Leeds are keen to bring Milner back to Elland Road nearly two decades after his departure. But they are hoping that he will hold off on making a decision about his future until the end of the campaign.
Obviously, there is a massive question mark hanging over Leeds’ position in the Premier League. So we are not going to stand any chance of securing his signature while there is a decent chance we could be in the Championship next year.
Milner is often seen as the ultimate professional. He has had an ‘astonishing‘ career. So while his love for Leeds has been evident down the years – he joked he was disappointed Erling Haaland didn’t join the Whites – you get the feeling that it is going to be difficult for the club to snatch him away.
Brighton are a side on the up. They have had an amazing season and could well be in Europe next year.
Leeds meanwhile, seem to have little direction – with another new manager likely to come in in the summer.
So it would be an ambitious move for the Whites to bring Milner back.
But while there is a chance, we can always dream.
