The Mail claim Leeds United could decide to sack Javi Gracia with just four Premier League games left to play and appoint Lee Bowyer on a short-term deal – after Gracia watched his side lose a fourth game in five at Bournemouth.
The Spaniard, who only replaced Jesse Marsch towards the end of February after the American was sacked, started well at Leeds. He guided Leeds to 10 points from his first six League games. But since, it has been a dismal showing.
Leeds have picked up just one point from their last five games, losing to Palace, Liverpool, Fulham and then on the weekend, a 4-1 loss at Bournemouth. His worst result yet, given the magnitude of the game. We are up against it.
Indeed, Leeds boast an incredibly tough run in – with games coming up against Manchester City, Newcastle, West Ham away and then Tottenham. The report claims Leeds are considering a move to sack Gracia, and replace him.

Leeds could sack Gracia and appoint Bowyer on short-term deal
The report claims Leeds could move to bring in an Elland Road favourite in his place, in the form of Bowyer – who has impressed most recently as Birmingham City boss. Of course, Bowyer spent seven years as a player at Leeds.
In that time, he clocked up 265 appearances for the club – mostly from the wing – scoring an impressive 55 goals. A serious talent, that is yet to really earn the praise he deserves in management. Now, he may be brought in at Leeds.
Bowyer is not the only candidate being considered by Leeds, with Victor Orta – who is under intense pressure from Leeds fans himself – is said to be scouring the market in Spain and Holland. But Bowyer could now replace Gracia.
