The Mail claim Jesse Marsch is among the contenders to take over at Leicester City with the American yet to step foot back into management since being sacked by Leeds United – but is one of four gaffers mentioned in the report.
Marsch, 49, lasted 37 games in the Leeds job but was sacked at the beginning of February, following a dismal 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest. He has since been replaced by Javi Gracia, who has seven points from a possible 15.
The ex-Salzburg and Leipzig manager has the ability to keep a team in the Premier League, on his CV. Of course, with Leeds staring relegation in the face towards the end of Marcelo Bielsa’s stint – he rallied the troops at Leeds.
While many are of the belief that it was not solely down to Marsch that Leeds survived last season, he certainly played his part. Leicester, meanwhile, sacked Brendan Rodgers on the weekend after a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Mail say Marsch is one of four managers Leicester could turn to. Ralph Hasenhuttl, Rafa Benitez and Adi Hutter are also options for Leicester. Of course, it would be Marsch’s first job since Leeds – coming close to Southampton.

What a move for Marsch it would be. Realistically, Marsch is more likely to take a job in his home country, or even as USMNT manager. He could return to Germany or Austria for another crack – or a different job in European football.
It does seem unlikely that given Leeds’ struggles this season, he would be given the chance to take over at another Premier League club. It might actually suit Marsch to take over a Championship side and build them from that point.
Like Vincent Kompany is doing at Burnley. Given the freedom to shape a side’s style given the lesser competition of the Championship, it would allow Marsch to build a side. Joining Leicester, if relegated, might actually suit him.
