Earlier in the window, Leeds United were strongly linked in Italian media with a move for Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic but now, TMW claim Premier League rivals Fulham are about to strike a deal – for a bargain £9m for the Serbia ace.
Lukic, 26, returned from the World Cup in Qatar having impressed in a disappointing Serbia side to plenty of interest in his services. It comes after more than six years at Torino, playing 167 games at the base of the Serie A side’s midfield.
Italian site Torino Granata reported in December that Leeds were in pole position to sign Lukic. Rated then at a fee of £13m, Leeds were said to be the front runners to land the Torino ace. He was asking for a deal worth £33,000 a week.
However, fast forward to the latter stages of the January window, Fulham are set to strike a deal for Lukic. It is claimed that Fulham have tabled an offer worth £7million up front, plus £1.75million in add-ons. His deal ends in June 2024.

Leeds have put all their eggs in one basked, in the final week of the window. Weston McKennie is said to be closing in on a move believed to be worth a fee of £26million plus add-ons. He is a step up from Lukic, but the latter is decent.
He will struggle to start for Fulham with Marco Silva’s side boasting the impressive Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reed in midfield. But there is every chance that Lukic could end up coming in for Reed at some point, if Reed’s form drops off.
Lukic is cheap at £9m, a far better player than the fee Fulham are paying. But the Cottagers are said to have agreed a deal and now Leeds could end up facing a player they were linked with, when Leeds face Fulham in on April 22.
