Italian newspaper La Nazione claim Serie A side Fiorentina could look to build on their impressive 22-23 campaign by raiding Leeds United for three players on the cheap – in the form of Illan Meslier, Luis Sinisterra and Willy Gnonto.

With Leeds suffering relegation to the Championship, the price tags of the likes of Meslier and Gnonto is likely to have dropped slightly. Meslier might have been touted at around £40m, had we stayed up. Now? Very unlikely.

Similar with Gnonto, even if he is impressing at the U21 European Championships. Sinisterra is slightly older than Gnonto, but the Colombian was certainly more effective in front of goal last season – netting seven goals in 22.

Fiorentina were impressive last term as they reached the Conference League final, only to be on the receiving end of a late Jarrod Bowen strike. They finished in eighth in Serie A, meaning they have missed out on European football.

So, they are in the market for slightly cheaper options and Leeds will have them on offer after relegation. The report states that La Viola could turn to three of our players – in the form of Meslier, Gnonto and Sinisterra this summer.

Sinisterra was bought for £21m as a replacement for Raphinha and while he has numerous injury issues, he did still manage to show all that he can score goals in the Premier League. Five in 19 from out wide. Clubs will be interested.

If Leeds can break even on the Colombia star, that is good business. Meslier was bought for £5m, and that should still be a healthy profit even despite being dropped. Leeds should be looking to quadruple their initial Meslier outlay.

The Mirror say Leeds will only consider offers of £30m or above for Italy star Gnonto and rightly so. It is not as if we are desperate to sell. If the right offer comes in for our best players then fine. But if they don’t, then they will stay.
