Football London say Leeds United are one of a number of Premier League clubs showing interest in Tottenham maestro Oliver Skipp – but Antonio Conte has rejected any chance of the English star leaving on loan on deadline day.
Skipp, 22, has only been afforded five starts for Tottenham in all competitions this term. The signing of Yves Bissouma, along with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur, has pushed the England U21 star down the pecking order.
The Spurs academy product might have wanted to go out on loan on deadline day. But that now looks as though it will not be happening. That is because Conte is keen to keep him at Spurs. That is, despite his lack of minutes under Conte.
The report from Football London states that Leeds, Bournemouth, Palace and Fulham wanted to take Skipp on loan. Of course, Leeds have since gone into the market and lured USA star Weston McKennie to Elland Road from Juventus.

The interest from Leeds may have originated prior to a move for McKennie. The USA star joins on a loan-to-buy deal from Juventus, linking up with his childhood friend Tyler Adams, USA teammate Brenden Aaronson – and Jesse Marsch.
Nevertheless, Skipp would have been a good signing in the middle of the park. His unrelenting stamina and incessant work rate would have fit well, perhaps alongside Tyler Adams. Instead, he looks as though he will remain at Tottenham.
That could change on deadline day – especially, following the emergence of Pape Matar Sarr. But even if Spurs do soften on Skipp, then Leeds are unlikely to move given we have brought in McKennie. Plenty of other clubs are keen.
Leeds are likely to be active in the market on the final day of the window. Confirmation for Diogo Monteiro is still expected. Jack Harrison’s future is in doubt, and there have been links with Nicolo Zaniolo, Ayoze Perez and more.
