Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is unlikely to reach an agreement to complete his buyout of Sampdoria today.

That is according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports a forced capital agreement – which would save the club – has been ruled out as it would lead to a legal battle with controversial Sampdoria president Ferrero.

The shareholders meeting has now resumed but negotiations are not set to be finalised today, which would lead to an automatic four-point deduction for Sampdoria next season after their relegation to Serie B.

A number of the club’s ultras are currently outside Sampdoria’s headquarters in hope that an agreement is reached, with president Marco Lanna having addressed them last night with a megaphone.

Despite Radrizzani having been locked in talks for well over a week now, this situation appears as though it is getting messier and messier, which not only adds to the tension at Sampdoria, but also Leeds.

Radrizzani talks drag on

The more this drags on, the more frustration grows among Leeds supporters as they seek answers of their own from Radrizzani on such a shambolic season.

Whites fans are keen to see the back of Radrizzani and a San Francisco 49ers Enterprises full buyout would see that, but a new deal will need to be agreed after relegation.

At this stage, it feels like Radrizzani has put Leeds to the back of his mind and with a huge summer of work ahead, it is only increasing the animosity towards him.

The 48-year-old is yet to release any sort of statement regarding the future of Leeds, despite having been quick to do so when they saved themselves on the final day 12 months ago.

It is about time that Radrizzani gets a move on so the club can move forward in their rebuild without the unnecessary noise in the background.
