Robin Koch’s future at Leeds United is set to be decided in the coming days as Premier League and Bundesliga clubs continue to circle.
That is according to Frankfurter Rundschau, who report Frankfurt have been holding talks with Koch for the last few days in a bid to prise him back to Germany.
Koch has not been short of interest since Leeds’ relegation was confirmed last month, with Frankfurt just one of numerous sides keen on his services.
Manchester United, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are said to be keen on bringing him back to the Premier League, while Bayer Leverkusen are another Bundesliga team to be linked.
Koch is keen on moving on from Leeds in the coming weeks as he looks to get back in the Germany squad for next summer’s EUROs in his native homeland.
Koch’s future to be decided in coming days
There is an element of uncertainty surrounding what sort of fee Leeds could command for Koch this summer with his contract set to expire next summer.
According to reports in Germany, Koch could leave for free, though some sections of the English media have disputed those claims.
Phil Hay, meanwhile, says Koch could be allowed to leave on loan, which would then see him leave for nothing in 12 months’ time due to his contract situation.
Koch is yet to make a decision on whether he would prefer to remain in England or return home, though he is expected to choose in the coming days.
Either way, Koch will be keen to ensure he moves to a side who can offer him regular football, or his dream of playing in next summer’s EUROs will be over.
