Report: £16m Leeds man now has CL offer abroad, four PL clubs also keen

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has an offer to leave the club that would enable him to play Champions League football.

That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who report a club from abroad, as well as four from the Premier League, are keen on Harrison, two of which would enable him to play in Europe’s top competition.

Harrison is one of several players expected to depart Leeds this summer despite having signed a new five-year deal in April.

That contract, though, is said to include a relegation release clause which according to Football Transfers, is priced at around £16 million.

They also claim that Everton are in talks over a move for Harrison, though given the vast amount of interest in his services, the YEP state that a decision is not expected to be made imminently.

Harrison has offer of CL football

Given the release clause in his contract it is almost certain Harrison will depart this summer and that is certainly something he cannot begrudged of, particularly if Champions League clubs come calling.

Harrison has been a consistent source of goals and assists since Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League three years ago, netting 21 goals and providing 16 assists.

With all due respect to Everton, Harrison is probably capable of earning a move to a side who won’t be in another relegation fight next season.

From Leeds’ perspective, £16 million is slightly lower than what they should be getting for a player like Harrison, though relegation has clearly put them in a poor position to sell.

Winger is without doubt the position Leeds are strongest in, and if Harrison is to depart, they simply must keep at least two from Luis Sinisterra, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville.
