Ray Parlour has told TalkSPORT (Friday, 8.50AM) that Leeds United can cause Arsenal an issue on Saturday at The Emirates because the pressure will be on Mikel Arteta’s side to win – describing the game as a “free hit” for Leeds.
A massive 4-2 win before the international break saw Javi Gracia’s Leeds climb to 14th in the Premier League. Still only two points off the drop zone, but the confidence and belief at Leeds will be the highest it has been for a while.
Come Saturday, a trip to Arsenal is next. Probably the hardest game any side will face this season. Injuries to Tyler Adams, Max Wober and Willy Gnonto will come as a huge blow to Leeds. But the pressure for this game, is off.
Even with those three players fit, no-one will expect Leeds to get a result. It allows Gracia’s men to be free, and the longer the game goes on – the more nervous Arsenal will become. Parlour says the pressure will be on his old side.

“Leeds will always give you a game, they beat us at Highbury. Will always give you a game, brilliant result against Wolves. It is a free hit for Leeds, all the pressure on Arsenal – but the crowd have played a huge part this season.”
Parlour: Leeds can cause Arsenal an issue on Saturday at The Emirates
Parlour is bang on. Of course, with the injuries Leeds have picked up and the way Arsenal are playing, it is more than likely the Gunners will get themselves a result on Saturday. Leeds must remember, that is not the end of the world.
Leeds are not going to survive in the Premier League by beating Arsenal. We are going to stay up by beating the likes of Forest and Palace, who come on the Tuesday and the Sunday after Saturday’s clash at The Emirates.
