Gianluca Di Marzio has reported on Twitter that Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen is undergoing his Roma medical ahead of a loan move to Jose Mourinho’s side right now, after arriving at the Serie A side on Friday morning.
The 26-year-old defender is set to be the club’s 13th departure this season, after Rodrigo completed a permanent exit to Qatari side Al-Rayyan. Kristensen will link up with Diego Llorente, who joined Roma on a temporary basis.
Kristensen was seen in the new Leeds training kit earlier this week, after returning to Thorp Arch for testing after representing Denmark. But, he did not travel to Oslo. Instead, he has pitched camp in Italy’s capital on Friday.
Di Marzio reports that he is currently undergoing a medical at Roma ahead of completing a loan move to Mourinho’s men. It is another to leave on loan – after Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson and Llorente. Marc Roca is likely to, as well.

It is the right move to offload Kristensen. Luke Ayling is experienced in the Championship and will be a key part of the squad going into next term. Cody Drameh has returned to Leeds after two superb loan spells in the second tier.
So, with Ayling more than happy to provide squad cover and be a big voice in the dressing room – and Drameh a talent Leeds really should look to keep hold of after his form in the second tier, Kristensen had to be the one to go.
Off he pops, to Roma. Mourinho’s side are likely to cash in Rick Karsdorp and that means Kristensen will come in as competition on the right flank of Mourinho’s 3-5-2 system. Being a regular starter for Roma is unlikely, however.
