Andrea Radrizzani has told DAZN – as per TuttoMercatoWeb – that Victor Orta once suggested Fede Chiesa to him as a possible signing at Leeds United, responding when asked if Orta had suggested any Serie A players as possible recruits.
Chiesa, 25, is considered one of the best players in Serie A despite a recent long-term knee injury. It comes after laying on 59 goals and assists in 153 games for Fiorentina, earning a move to Juventus. He has since become an Italy regular.
In his 74 appearances for Juventus, he has produced 37 goals and assists – able to play on either flank. Italian website CMW recently reported that Jurgen Klopp is considering a move to bring him to Liverpool, as a Mo Salah replacement.
But, he would cost a whopping £88m. Radrizzani gave a very open interview to DAZN in which he shares his pride at being the only Italian owner of a Premier League club. He was asked if Orta had suggested any signings from Serie A.
He responded simply by saying, “Federico Chiesa”. Now, the chances are that it was before his Juventus move. It was probably the summer in which Leeds were promoted to the top tier. The same window in which we signed Raphinha.

Chiesa is a top-tier, Champions League-level player. An incredible attacking weapon. He is still getting back to his best after that ACL injury, but Chiesa is only 25 and has plenty of time on his side. There is every chance he could leave.
Juventus have suffered a points deduction, amid financial calamity. European qualification looks unlikely. Juventus will need to sell players in the summer and there will be interest in Chiesa. But he is well out of Leeds’ reach, right now.
