Jack Harrison has made a wonderful start to life at Everton after joining the Toffees on loan in the summer – and it is now claimed Everton have a £20m buyout clause in his loan from Leeds United.
Harrison, 26, starred again on Saturday as Everton beat Chelsea to win 2-0. It looks at this early stage that Everton will go on and secure Premier League safety, even after suffering a 10-point deduction.
In 10 Premier League outings for Everton, after recovering from injury in which he picked up in his final game for Leeds – the 4-1 loss to Spurs – Harrison has had a hand in four goals for Sean Dyche’s side.
Labelled “incredible” by Jesse Marsch, Harrison is obviously a player that Everton will want to keep. Even with their current difficulties with Financial Fairplay, which led to the initial 10-point deduction.
Sky Sports say there isn’t an option to buy – but there is a buyout clause which can be triggered at any point during the campaign. It is unclear what the major difference between those two, actually is.

TeamTalk back that up, reporting that Harrison has a buyout clause. But, TeamTalk actually report the fee that has been agreed between Leeds and Everton should that clause be activated at some point.
Indeed, it is report that Everton will pay Leeds a fee of £20m. Given his current form, his potential England aspirations and his proven Premier League quality at 26, that seems pretty cheap for Harrison.
Of all the players out on loan, if you could have one back at Leeds from their loan – it would be Harrison. But, the chances are that even if promoted, Harrison does move on. One to keep an eye on this term.
