Adam Forshaw’s second Leeds United reunion is looking a little uncertain this weekend.
After leaving Elland Road in the summer, Forshaw has already come up against his former side this season with Norwich City, but is already at a new club in Plymouth Argyle.
Forshaw was cup-tied for the two meetings between Argyle and Leeds in the FA Cup earlier this year, but that would not be the case when they face each other for the fourth time this season on Saturday.
However, Forshaw’s availability is once again being called into question having missed Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Coventry City at Home Park due to injury.
Forshaw had limped off in the 3-1 defeat at Sunderland last weekend and though no update was provided post-match yesterday, manager Ian Foster addressed it before the game to the Plymouth Herald.
Forshaw availability against Leeds uncertain
He said: “I’m not sure exactly what the mechanism of injury (to Forshaw) was. He just said he tweaked it. Adam is a really experienced player who knows his body better than I do.
“You have to trust your senior players and he said he was absolutely fine, just a little jolt. But I think he was getting referred pain just a little bit higher up his leg.
“He felt it, he needed the medics to look at it, which they did, and he wanted to give it another go and see how it settled down. We will see how he is. The early diagnosis is that it’s nothing too serious.
“They tested the strength of it. Whether we get some images done on it over the next couple of days remains to be seen but I will leave that in the hands of the medics.”

Everyone at Leeds, of course, will know the difficulties Forshaw has faced with injuries over the last few years and so it will be a worry for Plymouth that he has picked up another. In fact, it was down to his fitness problems that Daniel Farke stopped Leeds from re-signing him in the summer.
As mentioned, Forshaw was absent completely from the squad for last night’s game and given the very short turnaround until Saturday lunchtime, his availability is very much in doubt.
Forshaw had been forming a nice partnership with Leeds loanee Darko Gyabi at Plymouth and due to the latter being ineligible to face his parent club, they could be without both on Saturday.
