If Leeds United are going to be relegated from the Premier League this season, their lack of quality in the final third is going to be a key reason they have failed to keep their heads above water.
Leeds have scored one goal in their last five games in all competitions. And that came from Junior Firpo when his scuffed shot found its way into the centre of the goal against Southampton.

Georginio Rutter endured a tough time at Chelsea at the weekend. But it is fair to say that his teammates have to take much of the blame for that for rarely looking like they were going to be able to lay a glove on the Blues.
Leif Davis flying after Leeds exit
Leeds actually find themselves in mid-table in the Premier League when it comes to shot-creating actions this season, according to FBRef. But it really does feel that the Whites are completely losing all composure as soon as they get into anything like a dangerous position at the moment.

Meanwhile, a player Leeds sold in the summer for around £1 million is absolutely flying when it comes to creating opportunities for his teammates.
Selling Leif Davis was understandable. He returned to Elland Road off the back of an underwhelming loan spell at Bournemouth last season.
And of course, he is now playing in League One. So it is impossible to say that the Whites made an error letting him go.
But what cannot be questioned is that Davis is proving to be a brilliant signing for the Tractor Boys.
The 23-year-old now has two goals and nine assists since his switch to Portman Road. Meanwhile, Ipswich posted a graphic on their official Twitter account showing that the left-back has created more chances than any other player in the third tier this season.
Barry Bannan is two behind on 93. But apart from that, no-one comes close to the youngster.
From a Leeds perspective, we have to say that Junior Firpo has never been better for the Whites. And obviously, it is highly unlikely that Davis would have been able to make anything like his current impact at the highest level.
But there is no question that it does not help to see a player Leeds sold creating so much at a time when we do not look like even coming close to scoring.
