Wayne Rooney has made the surprise move to Birmingham City as the club’s new manager with John Eustace departing, perhaps harshly – and he is seen posing with Leeds United player Cody Drameh.
Eustace had guided Birmingham into a very impressive sixth place at this early stage in the season, far above last season’s dismal showing of 17th place. Eustace even watched on as Birmingham best Leeds.
But, not enough for a new Birmingham City board that includes American Football star Tom Brady. They wanted a bigger name in the dugout, and in comes Rooney – who has left DC United for The Midlands.

Rooney took training for the first time on Friday, with the Blues – and the rest of the Championship – not in action until next weekend. Birmingham’s Instagram page uploaded some pictures from the session.
Included in those pictures is none other than Leeds defender Drameh, all smiles with Manchester United and England legend Rooney [fourth picture]. Drameh is on loan until the end of the current campaign.

Drameh has made an excellent start to life on loan at Birmingham City. It comes after being expected to be the man that would be starting at right-back for Leeds in the Championship. He was sent out on loan.
Not long, after Drameh made a mistake in the 4-3 win over Ipswich and was subbed off – after he was subbed on. Clearly, Daniel Farke did not fancy him. A surprise, given his form at Cardiff and Luton Town.
Now, he will be hoping to maintain the form and start he has made to life with the Blues under manager Rooney in the coming weeks and months. Rooney makes his debut as boss away at Middlesbrough.
