Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell has been pictured working hard ahead of his return to pre-season just days after his triumph with England U21s.
Evolution Sports Academy – a coaching company based in Yorkshire – tweeted a number of photos on their account of Cresswell grafting on his own.
It has been just five days since Cresswell was celebrating lifting the U21s EUROs out in Georgia with the Three Lions, following a dramatic 1-0 win over Spain in the final.
The 20-year-old only featured in one of England’s games during the tournament, as he played 90 minutes in the final group game win over Germany.
That said, he was still part of a defensive unit that did not concede a single goal across their six matches throughout the competition, a huge achievement for the Leeds youngster.
Cresswell spotted hard at work after England achievement
Cresswell is likely to report back for pre-season at Leeds alongside the remaining internationals Willy Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville, Illan Meslier and Rodrigo on Monday.
That has not stopped him putting in the work before his return, though, with Evolution Sports Academy posting a series of photos of him in action to prepare himself for a big season at Leeds.
With Robin Koch and Diego Llorente now gone, Cresswell clearly know this season could be make or break for him at Leeds.
He is currently Leeds’ only recognised right centre back and after a promising loan spell in the Championship at Millwall, he will now be hoping he can become a key figure at Elland Road.
This sort of graft will allow Cresswell to hit the ground running in pre-season and stake a claim for a place in the starting XI against Cardiff City on August 6.
