Paul Merson has predicted the outcome on SportsKeeda’s site of Leeds United’s clash against Leicester on Tuesday in a match that could prove to be crucial in the fight for survival – and Merson expects a “cagey” version of Leeds.
Leeds come into the match off the back of three straight losses, conceding a huge 13 goals in the process. Leeds allowed Palace to score five and Liverpool to net six – both at home – before a 2-1 loss to Fulham last time out.
But, the Whites will know the importance of the match and boast home advantage. Leicester, meanwhile, ended a run of 10 games in all competitions without a win, by coming from behind to beat Wolves at home on Saturday.
They have climbed out of the relegation zone and into 17th place, a point behind struggling Leeds. The two sides meet in a massive relegation clash on Tuesday night, and Merson has given his verdict – predicting a 1-1 draw.

“This is a huge match. It’s a hard one to call. Leeds have conceded 11 goals in their last two home games. Leeds will be very cagey. They play gung-ho football at home, but I don’t think they’ll do that. I think a draw,” Merson said.

It is a really, really big game as Merson says. Leeds desperately need to put an end to their dismal recent run and Leicester at home presents the best opportunity Leeds have to pick up three points – from their last six games.
For Leicester, it is key they continue to gather momentum – and avoiding defeat at Elland Road will be the top of their agenda, if not, winning. But if you could predict one outcome, it is more than likely that the match is a draw.
