Leeds United legend Nigel Martyn spotted Dominic Calvert-Lewin doing something he believes sums up the current spirit at Elland Road.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin stole the show for Leeds in another statement performance, as the striker extended his prolific goalscoring run.
Leeds’ number nine made a piece of history, as he became the first Leeds player since Mark Viduka to score in five consecutive Premier League games.
Nigel Martyn played alongside Viduka during his time at Leeds, and recently described the Australian as a better striker than Alan Shearer in a glowing endorsement.
However, Martyn spotted Calvert-Lewin doing something off the field that impressed him during Leeds’ win over Crystal Palace, as he praised the England contender after the game.

Speaking to LUTV after Leeds’ comfortable win over Crystal Palace, Martyn pointed out something Calvert-Lewin did after he had been substituted late in the game.
Despite his game being over, Martyn praised Calvert-Lewin for leaving the bench to celebrate the final goal with his team-mates.
According to the Leeds legend, this sums up the team spirit which continues to build within Farke’s side.
Martyn said: “I think that’s something that’s really coming through this team, how much of a team they are together.
“You saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin celebrating the fourth goal when it went in from the substitutes’ bench. His night’s done.
“He could easily just sit down and not bother, but that shows how much they’re together, and that can only be a good thing going forward.”
