The Times say that Nuno Espirito Santo has now had an interview for the Leeds United job but the Portuguese boss is yet to be offered the role – as Leeds continue to scour the market, eight days after sacking Jesse Marsch last Monday.
Nuno, 49, has entered consideration after a number of managers have rejected Leeds. Andoni Iraola, Raul, Arne Slot, Marcelo Gallardo, Ange Postecoglou and Carlos Corberan, so far. Leeds pulled the plug on luring Alfred Schreuder in.
The ex-Tottenham and Wolves manager is currently at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, where Helder Costa is currently on loan. Initial reports stated it would cost £8m to get him in – but the Times say it is a slightly smaller fee, at just £5.3m.
The report states that after initial reports said Leeds were considering Nuno – who has managed Rodrigo at Valencia -has been interviewed by Leeds. But the experienced manager, who was once a goalkeeper, is yet to be offered the role.

Nuno has plenty of Premier League experience after his years at Wolves. And, although not a nice thought, he has promotion from the Championship on his CV, too. So, on paper, he looks as if he could be a good Leeds appointment.
Steven Gerrard has also been linked but his stock is not particularly high after a failed stint at Aston Villa. Tata Martino, who managed Barcelona and Argentina among many others, has also been in talks. Pedro Martins is also on the list.
The latter is currently in charge at Al-Gharafa in Qatar. It comes after four years at Olympiakos. He was the man in charge of Raphinha while the Brazilian was at Vitoria Guimaraes. Jose Mourinho described Nuno as “really fantastic”.
