BOXT have confirmed on social media that their logo will not be printed in the colour red on Leeds United shirts, soon after the club announced that BOXT would be the club’s main sponsor and appear on the front of the jersey.

Leeds-based company BOXT, who specialise in boilers and energy solutions, were announced as a replacement for betting partner SBOBET – on Thursday morning. It comes ahead of betting sponsors being banned from 2026.

Leeds have plenty left to announce this summer ahead of pre-season starting on July 2. A new manager is right at the forefront of that, as is the EFL ratifying an agreed takeover. Another of those announcements is a new shirt.

We seem to be behind the curve in terms of announcements, with plenty of other clubs having a manager in place and a shirt available. But after the confirmation of BOXT, Leeds fans had concerns – given the colour of their logo.

However, BOXT have taken to their Twitter page to alleviate those fears. They have informed Leeds fans that the logo will not be in the colour of red on the shirt – of course, red being the colour of bitter rivals Manchester United.

It is nice to hear a bit of communication from Leeds fans. Worries immediately arise, but then immediately quashed by BOXT. Unlike the club itself, who continue to leave supporters in the dark in regards to what is happening.

The belief is that Leeds are waiting until ratification from the EFL regarding a takeover, before announcing the likely appointment of Daniel Farke as manager. But with pre-season starting on Sunday, Leeds need to get a move on.
