Leeds United made it three Championship matches without defeat in the 1-1 draw at Norwich City.

The Whites have managed to follow up their one and only loss of the season against Burnley with seven points from a possible nine available, including wins over Cardiff and Coventry City.

Despite beating Cardiff, there was actually some disappointment from Leeds supporters at the manner of the performance, with a backwards pass from Ilia Gruev even prompting some boos.

However, Leeds were much better against the Sky Blues and their 3-0 victory was arguably the best performance of the season.

And on another night, Leeds could quite easily have taken all three points from Carrow Road, but for a poor refereeing decision and a rash challenge from Joe Rodon.

Largie Ramazani matches Keane Leeds feat

The one constant from those three matches was a goal contribution from Largie Ramazani. His full debut came against Cardiff, and he marked it with an impressive opening goal.

Ramazani then provided the assist for Jayden Bogle’s first goal for Leeds, before then finding the back of the net once again at Norwich to get Farke‘s side back level.

The 23-year-old had to be patient for his chance at Leeds with both of his first two appearances coming from the bench, as Manor Solomon was preferred ahead of him.

However, Solomon’s injury left the door open for Ramazani and he has stepped right through it, matching a feat at Elland Road last achieved by Robbie Keane in January 2001.

Ramazani’s record of scoring or assisting in each of his three starts for the club had not been done since Keane almost 24 years ago, showing just how impressive his start to life at Leeds has been.

Brought in as Crysencio Summerville’s replacement, if he can continue this brilliant run then he may just be able to match the 19 goals and nine assists by the Dutchman last season.

Daniel Farke says Ramazani has surprised him at Leeds

The fact Solomon was chosen ahead of Ramazani in matches against Hull City and Burnley show whereabouts he was in Farke’s pecking order after his arrival.

And when asked about Ramazani in his pre-Sunderland press conference, Farke admitted he has been surprised at just how quickly he has managed to make an impact.

He said: “He’s improving, that’s for sure, he came from a side with a different football culture. It’s never easy when you’re relegated to the second-tier and not always involved due to bookings and injuries, it wasn’t the easiest pre-season for him.

“I have to say I’m impressed, in the beginning my first impression was of his potential but also his physicality needs to have some improvement. We worked hard with him, he’s improving from day to day and I’m pretty pleased he already has a deep impact with the end product – two goals and one assist.

“This was a question in La Liga, how many goals or assists he can deliver. Also his defensive work, he can be pretty stable and good in terms of defending but there are still improvements to make. Norwich’s first goal, for example, we could avoid the winger cutting inside, we need to improve that.

“He can cover more distance but we’re speaking to him on this and I’m pleased he is capable of making it in the starting line-up. Three games in six days was never the plan but if he’s really capable it would be massive. I’m pleased with the progress he’s making and the minutes are beneficial for him. Hopefully he can have a good impact on Friday night.”
