Joe Rodon has told The Sun’s paper edition (August 30 – as per Inside Futbol) that it is nice to “feel wanted again” at Leeds United by manager Daniel Farke – a feeling he did not get at Tottenham.
Rodon, 25, has left Spurs on loan for a second consecutive season – after a tricky spell with Rennes last term. Alongside new Leeds signing Djed Spence, who also left Spurs to go on loan to the Ligue 1 side.
The Wales defender has since played three times for Leeds – coming on as a striker against Birmingham and starting at centre-back against West Brom and Ipswich. The latter in which, he scored an own goal.
Speaking to The Sun’s Phil Cadden in quotes published on Wednesday, the Spurs defender said he feels wanted at Leeds. He says it something he did not get under Jose Mourinho or Antonio Conte at Spurs.
“At Swansea, I had a close relationship with the boss”, Rodon said. “But at Spurs, on your own. Coming to Leeds, Daniel Farke has been brilliant. It is nice to have that kind of relationship again, to feel wanted.”

Rodon’s early performances for Leeds are clearly a sign that he is going to play a prominent role in our side this season. Gretar Steinsson’s connections at Spurs have certainly helped get Rodon in at Leeds.
That, and linking up with Wales teammates Ethan Ampadu and Dan James. Rodon’s presence is also likely to have convinced Spence to move to Leeds. Ilia Gruev has since become our seventh signing.
More are expected before tomorrow’s deadline. Glen Kamara is said to be undergoing a medical ahead of a move from Rangers. A left-back, a winger and a no.10 could still be targeted by Leeds and Farke.
