New Leeds signing Junior Firpo has a new 'partner in crime' at Elland Road

Leeds United fans got their first taste of new signing Junior Firpo on Wednesday as the Whites drew 1-1 with Blackburn at Ewood Park. Firpo impressed on the left flank, combining well with Jack Harrison. The duo seem to getting on well off the pitch too, judging by Firpo’s Instagram.

Firpo, 24, joined Leeds as the club’s first major signing of the summer, though Harrison had completed a much-expected permanent move. The duo now look as though they will be the left flank of Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI going into the new season. Both started against Blackburn.

What has Firpo said about Leeds teammate Harrison on Instagram?

The duo combined well, showing glimpses of chemistry even though it was a first game back – and a first game together. Harrison got the assist as Pascal Struijk slammed home an equaliser – following Connor McBride’s opener which deflected past Illan Meslier. A bromance is blooming.

Not only are the two looking likely to get on, on the pitch – but the duo are seemingly close already off of it. Posting pictures of the duo from Ewood Park before and during the match, Firpo labelled Harrison his “partner in crime” with a post on his Instagram story.

In other Leeds news, here are three takeaways from the draw against Blackburn.
